4 Autocomplete

Autocomplete comes into play in all cases where the predictions offered by the AI do not match the user's needs.

There are 2 types of automatic predictions:

1) Full sentence prediction 2) Next word prediction

Full sentence prediction

The predictions take into consideration the previous completions already stored, but also the ongoing conversation and all the biographical elements and memories extracted from previous conversations, e.g.:

Ongoing conversation:

Predictions for the word "a":

If I click on the phrase "an apple crumble...", a new prediction will be reinforced between the word "a" and "an apple crumble...". This phrase will therefore be more likely to come up in the future, but only in the right context.

Next word prediction

IGOOR does not currently have a virtual keyboard. It is compatible, however, with Windows virtual keyboards (the OSK and TabTip.exe), as well as the virtual keyboard of certain eye control systems, such as Tobii TD Control (NOTE: IGOOR is not affiliated with Tobii). These keyboards have their own integrated word prediction.

IGOOR's next word prediction is slightly different: it predicts the word based on previous predictions, whether they are full sentence predictions or simple words. It is displayed directly inside the text field:

The next word prediction is not based on AI, but on locally archived predictions, and it is extremely fast.

Tips for users

The three autocomplete suggestions are not visually organized by meaning, unlike the other predictions.

Tips for interlocutors

Autocomplete, although faster than in the past, remains slower than the other tools to complete a sentence. Give the user time to finish their response. The user has a quick button to indicate that they are currently writing their response. See: 5 - Quick buttons
